Love is in the air, again, as The Travelling Monkeys decorate and put on fine clothes to celebrate this special day.
Say it with flowers, say it with chocolate, say it with cake… just say it!
Love is in the air, again, as The Travelling Monkeys decorate and put on fine clothes to celebrate this special day.
Say it with flowers, say it with chocolate, say it with cake… just say it!
The decorations are up, The Travelling Monkeys and friends are dressed and they are all wishing for health, wealth and good fortune in 2014. Let’s hope there’s a jackpot winning lottery ticket in one of those envelopes!
Happy New Year!
It’s that time of year again when ghosts and ghouls come out to play with monkeys dressed up to scare the living daylights out of you.
Check out Jimmy in his Wizard costume, Scruffy with his werewolf fangs and Bobo looking scary as always in his skull mask.
Lots of decorations this year turned the Monkeys’ pad into a haunted mansion complete with skeletons. Beware!
The Travelling Monkeys head to Shakespeare Country, which is Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. William Shakespeare was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language. He wrote lots of poems and plays and is famous worldwide. Tourists flock from all over the world to visit his home town.
Willy and Rudi spend the day dressed as “The Bard” (as Shakepeare is also known) in his honour.
They spy one of his cats in the garden of his house and check out some of the other properties associated with him, including Anne Hathaway’s cottage. Anne was Shakespeare’s wife.
Willy & Rudi also stop outside the Royal Shakespeare Theatre (home of the Royal Shakespeare Company or RSC) where plays are still being put on to this day. See more at www.rsc.org.uk
Afterwards, Willy and Rudi change into their Country Gent outfits to visit one of the National Trust residences nearby, Baddesley Clinton to take a look at how people used to live years ago. Find out more at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/baddesley-clinton
The Travelling Monkeys are lucky enough to be able to spend a week in a luxury apartment in Puerto Banus, on the coast of Southern Spain.
The weather is scorching hot so the pool is most welcome.
Every night there is a barbecue with all sorts of meats to fill a growing monkey’s tummy. The food available in the supermarkets is varied and all delicious, especially the fruit and fruit juices.
One day, Willy and crew take a trip into town, which is right on the beach and harbour. There are lots of expensive yachts to look at and shops to go in. If Upsi ever won the Lottery, this is where The Monkeys would come back and spend, spend, spend! For now, they just settle for amazing cocktails.
Willy and Rudi dress up as matadors. Ole!
Willy, Rudi, Uti, Upsi, Eddy & Mikey take a trip to Harrogate to see the sights (and to try the water).
They stop for lunch at a lovely restaurant called “Le Jardin” where the food is delicious (and extremely good value). The staff are very nice and delighted to see them.
Pictures round the town (the gardener must be very busy!) followed by some monkey rescues and some cakes round off a great day.
The Boys are back in Sorrento for more fun and relaxing by the pool under the heat of the Italian sun.
It’s Eddy’s first flight and he’s nervous at take-off.
Taking a leaf out of Willy & Rudi’s book, he soon relaxes and begins to enjoy the holiday.
The weather is glorious and The Travelling Monkeys meet old friends and make new ones (including several pigeons).
The Traveling Monkeys hit the big time spending time with some of the biggest stars of today.
Taking a trip to the capital, Willy, Rudi, Uti, Upsi, Eddy and Mikey are in London!
A ride on the London RIB Voyage is a thrill not to be missed. Music from Bond and Baywatch as we power down the Thames in a rigid inflatable boat set the mood perfectly. It’s pouring with rain but that only makes it more exciting. Highly recommended! Check it out at https://www.thamesrockets.com
The Shard, with its lofty heights in the clouds is an unmissable sight. Yay to the tallest building in Western Europe!
The Travelling Monkeys all dressed up to meet the stars of Movies, Music, Sport, Life and Fantasy at Madame Tussauds. Eddy was particularly excited to see Bruce Willis aka John McClane – check out his matching vest. Rudi was just happy to fool around with the ladies…
All in all, an amazing trip!
Ah, love is in the air…
The love of discovering muffins and cinnamon churros…
The love of scoffing delicious buttermilk pancakes with bananas and maple syrup on Pancake Day…
The love of dressing up and sharing special times with special friends and loved ones…
The love of balloons…
And watching “From Russia With Love” on Valentine’s Day evening…
